Cosmos Purification Systems Pvt. Ltd. is a company involved in providing ultra pure water for medical and critical applications. We also cater to the water purification requirements of commercial and industrial segment.

Our History

Established in 1989 as COSMOS MEDICAL APPLIANCES, we began our journey as the Channel partner in India for Osmonics Inc USA, a global manufacturer of Water purification equipments for Medical and critical applications like Haemodialysis, operation theatre and Cath lab etc. In 2002 Osmonics was globally acquired by GE Water and Process Technologies US and we became the channel partner of GE till 2012. In Chennai our first RO system for Haemodialysis was installed at Chennai Kalliappa (now Billroth Hospital Chennai) in 1990, followed by Vijaya Hospital, Apollo Hospital, Tamil Nadu Hospital, Ramachandra Hospital and Government Royapettah Hospital. In Mumbai we installed our first RO system at Lilavati Hospital , followed by P.D Hinduja Hospital, Jaslok Hospital, Ruby Hall Hospital and Jehangir Hospital Pune in the 90”s Now we have more than 250 installations at various dialysis centers spread over Southern and Western regions.

Through our in house R & D, we developed our own product line conforming to International standards and quality. Our company is ISO 2001 certified and our RO system is CE marked.

COSMOS was the first company to introduce the concept of Importance of RO water purification for Haemodialysis in India and market the equipments commercially to ensure smooth and trouble free dialysis.

FOUNDER CHAIRMAN – MR A.K.RAVINDRANATH

• 20 yrs experience at top Management level in a Multi National Pharmaceutical company , in marketing pharmaceuticals. Qualified from IIM Ahmedabad in marketing management.
• Has undergone extensive training in India and abroad from GE / Osomnics Inc USA in the field of various water purification technologies .
• Has also attended executive development programmes at top management level in India and abroad.
• Has successfully launched various best sellers in different therapeutic groups in the pharma market.
• Actively involved in ensuring self sufficiency of water in the state of Tamil Nadu in their vision 2023. Member of the steering committee towards achieving this objective.
• Special invitee to participate in the 2013 annual CII meeting N. Delhi –“ for India Of Tomorrow”: Imperatives of Growth, Security and Governance inaugurated by Dr. Manmohan Singh Prime Minister of India and the plenary session addressed by Mr Rahul Gandhi.
• Special invitee to participate in” Emerging Kerala 2012” to contribute towards industrial development for the state of Kerala.
• Special invitee to participate in UK-India Partnership for Fiscal Instruments for Low Carbon Business- Chaired by Mr David Wootton- Lord Mayor of London.

MANAGING DIRECTOR - ADITHYA RAVINDRANATH

• Has Bachelor of Engineering degree (B.E) from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra- Ranchi specialized in Marine Engineering.
• Has worked as a Marine engineering officer for A.P Moller Singapore -prior to joining the business. The A.P. Moller - Maersk Group is a worldwide conglomerate operating in 130 countries and involved in a wide range of activities in the shipping logistics, energy, retail and manufacturing industries.
• Has undertaken Trans Atlantic and Trans Pacific voyages, maintaining the smooth functioning of the ship engine along with the engineering team.
• Has also done his management programme for Entrepreneurs and Family business (MPEFB) from Indian Institute of Management (IIM- Bangalore).
• Has undergone training in Singapore in Sales and Product training in water purification systems from GE water and Process Technologies USA.
• Is the Founder of Cosmos Water Solutions and Cosmos food services. Both these companies provide turnkey water solutions to commercial institutions and Quick serving restaurants (QSR) chains.
